Big E Self Storage was founded on a simple but powerful vision. Our patriarch, Elmer Kulm “Big E”, set out to build more than just a mini storage facility, he wanted to create a lasting future for his family while giving back to the Stockton community.
With deep family ties to the Stockton and Lodi area, Elmer carefully selected the perfect property and began construction. On May 3, 1986, Big E Self Storage opened its doors, marking the beginning of nearly four decades of pride in ownership, service, and community commitment.
From the very beginning, we have understood that what our customers store with us is more than just belongings, it’s memories and pieces of their lives. That trust is something we value deeply and work hard to honor every day.
Today, the second generation proudly carries forward our parents’ legacy. We remain committed to maintaining a clean, well-kept facility with modern security, while continuing the tradition of respect, integrity, and personalized service that defines Big E Self Storage.
